That's par for the course...
Any time that I might make the commitment of doing anything at all, I always encounter challenges. The latest challenge for me has been to post on a regular basis. I consider it obstacle in my way, a roadblock perhaps. I know that I can overcome the boulder in the road. I just don't always know how.
Then it presents itself. That remarkable solution to the problem we are looking for. But where does it come from? First, there is no easy or quick answer to where it comes from. As a Christian, I believe that I'm not alone and it comes from God. With that as my ally, I have the hope to take on a challenge, no matter how large or small. He will provide me the answer as long as I turn it over to him.
By choosing to focus on Him, it takes my mind off the problems I'm facing. It allows him to work the miracle I'm looking for at that time. Ever notice it often comes at just the right place, just at the right moment. Trust me, it's not luck. Somehow, He knows just when the time is right to make it happen.
Here is the solution: Fear God, not man. In future posts, I will cover a new philosophy I have embraced by reading the book "Fearless" by Max Lucado. This is a life changing book. If you haven't read this book, go pick it up. It's one of the best books I have ever read. In fact, it's so good, that I'm currently rereading it. It gives me hope, joy, and the faith that I really need when I need it the most.
I'm going to leave you now with a simple thought. Can reading a book really change your life?
Leave me a comment on your thoughts on this subject and next time I see you we will talk about what I learned about fear from Pastor Max Lucado.
